Gianni Infantino has appointed Vinicius Junior as a head of special FIFA anti-racism committee, Reuters reports.
The committee's made up for players who will suggest punishments for discriminatory behaviour in football - racial abuse in particular.
The Real Madrid star was subject to abuse through the entire 2022/23 season in La Liga with no strong actions taken, although promised by the league officials.
The case went global when the Brazilian president himself expressed his support for Vinicius and urged the Spanish governing bodies to take action.
"There will be no more football with racism in it. The games should be stopped immediately when it happens. Enough is enough," Infantino stated.
