Both clubs, Hanoi and Hai Phong, were fined 70 million VND each for allowing the situation where fans ignited multiple flares.
Hai Phong FC supporters are prohibited from attending the next match, cheering for their home team against Hanoi FC (season 2023/24). The Vietnamese Football Federation (VFF) imposed these sanctions in response to the repeated use of flares during the match between Hanoi FC and Hai Phong FC on August 2nd.
The incident resulted in a fine of 70 million VND for each club due to the security and safety concerns arising from the actions of their fans igniting flares at Hang Day Stadium. Moreover, VFF also issued a ban on Hai Phong FC supporters from entering Hang Day Stadium for the next match as an away team against Hanoi FC in any professional national league competitions, including V-League and National Cup.
These penalties will apply from the following season since Hai Phong FC and Hanoi FC will no longer face each other in this current season.
