Manchester United have announced that 25% stake in Sir Jim Ratcliffe has now expired. Ratcliffe bought 25% of Class B shares from Glazers.
Additional shares were issued in exchange for an initial investment of 200 million taking Ratcliffe total ownership to 27.7%.
He will invest another 100 million by December 31 when his net worth will increase to 28.9%.
Jim Ratcliffe ownership of Man United is a great honor and a great responsibility.
This is the end of the operation but just the beginning of our journey to bring United back to the top of English and European football. The world.
I welcome Sir Jim as co-owner and look forward to working closely with him and INEOS Sport to provide a brighter future for Manchester United said Joel Glazer CEO.
