Manchester City have completed the signing of 19-year-old Argentine Claudio Echeverri from River Plate.
Echeverri has a contract until June 2028 but he will continue to play for River until his move to the Etihad in January next year.
Despite his youth Echeverri has already set a record with six appearances for River Plate.
Echeverri leadership skills were also demonstrated when he captained Argentina to the Under-17 World Cup scoring three unforgettable goals in a 3-0 quarter-final victory. Last with Brazil. Despite falling out of the semi-finals on penalties against Germany he was recognized as the third highest scorer in the bronze medal match.
Echeverri has made 23 appearances for Argentina Under-17 side making 13 appearances and even trained with the senior national team.
