Robert Lewandowski was one of the driving forces behind Barcelona success in La Liga last year. With 33 goals in 46 appearances for the club the Polish striker made his fantastic debut.
However this season things do not seem to be bright for the 35 year-old who has shown his form has been declining recently. With a new young striker from Brazil and a number of links to Saudi Arabia emerging the Catalans are rumored to be trying to sell Lewy this summer.
But according to a recent report from Diario Sport the club has a different plan. Instead of pushing the veteran striker whose contract at Camp Nou expires in 2025 Barca are ready to let Lewandowski decide his future.
Of course releasing the second highest earning player will ease
The club ongoing financials, but keeping players with such a season for another year will guarantee a 15-20 goal score for Barca which is not a bad option either.
