Declan Rice rested with a hamstring injury during Arsenal 5-0 win over Crystal Palace at the weekend.
According to the Daily Mail the injury is not serious and the midfielder move is just a precaution for the coach.
The 25 year-old is expected to feature for the Gunners next game a must-win trip to Nottingham Forest in the Premier League on Tuesday 30 January.
