Sir Jim Ratcliffe is expected to take sporting control of Man United very soon after acquiring 25% of the ownership stake.
As per CBS Sports’ Ben Jacobs, the British billionaire has major plans of making major changes at the club.
He believes that a total investment of around $2 billion (£1.62bn) will need to be done to improve the club’s infrastructure as well as the quality of the teams.
Sir Jim is ready to invest $300 million this time around, which will mostly be used to improve the condition of Old Trafford and the training facility.
The remaining $1.7 billion is likely to be released in parts later on for future projects, which are yet to be revealed.
Ratcliffe is not planning on financing the building of another stadium for the Red Devils but to fund money to fix the issues at Old Trafford and modernize the stadium.
He could also fund the necessary finance needed for player transfers and could start doing so in the January transfer window.
