Scott McTominay says he was inspired by David Beckham’s newly-released documentary to score twice against Brentford.
Speaking to MUTV, McTominay said: I can’t put into words what it was like for that second one. It was an out-of-body experience, really. I was watching David Beckham's documentary last night and you see the history and the people behind the club.
That's what the lads do it for, Kath on reception, the kitmen, everyone, it's so important we all come together and that’s what it means at this football club, we do it for the people. The people have been coming to this football club for many, many years. Same as me - I’m a fan so I want us to do well.
McTominay came on in the 87th minute to net two stoppage-time goals and help Man United earn a much-needed 2-1 win over the Bees.
Beckham’s new film documentary, BECKHAM, was released on Netflix this week. It highlights the career of the global football icon.
