Manchester United have reached an agreement in principle with Marc Cucurella on personal terms, Fabrizio Romano reports.
Man United won’t negotiate for any other left back now — as they want to get Cucurella deal done with Chelsea ASAP, he added.
The Red Devils earlier submitted a proposal for a loan deal to Chelsea. The Blues have responded to the proposal and the clubs will continue negotiations.
Romano said that United's loan fee is in excess of £2m; Chelsea want more. However, the Blues are said to be requesting for £7 million which could be the only obstacle.
United’s offer is for an initial loan and the clubs are discussing various parameters around that.
The Spain international left-back is viewed at Old Trafford as a good fit for manager Erik ten Hag's system and at present he is the top candidate.
