Erik ten Hag is set to receive a contract extension to his deal as Man United manager before the end of 2023, claims the Daily Star.
The Glazers have green-lit negotiations to begin on an extension for the manager despite uncertainty over the future of their ownership.
Ten Hag could receive a two-year extension to his current contract, which runs out in June 2025, and the new deal can take his deal to 2027.
The Dutchman’s contract situation should be resolved in the next few months, as the club’s hierarchy wants some stability around the managerial role and for him to stay for the long term.
Ten Hag could even get a major increase in his salary, as he currently earns around £9m.
That can be increased to £14m, which will see him earn among the top-earning players in the squad.
