The Premier League is making a change in their match ball supplier after a 25-year partnership with Nike.
Nike has been providing match balls for the league since the 2000/01 season, but the negotiations to extend the contract beyond 2025 didn't end positively.
However, the Premier League wasted no time in finding a new supplier and has reached an agreement with Puma. Starting from the 2025/26 season, Puma will take over as the supplier of match balls for the league.
Puma is already experienced in supplying match balls as they currently provide them for Serie A, La Liga, and the English Football League. For the next two seasons, Nike will continue supplying match balls for the Premier League until the Puma deal takes effect.
Last season, the Nike Flight ball, known for its aerodynamic design, was used. The new version of the ball will make its debut in the 2023/24 season.
