Alvaro Fernandez could become a first-team player at Manchester United next season, according to The Athletic.
Erik ten Hag reportedly wants to bolster his options at left-back this summer and the 20-year-old is a perfect candidate for the job.
The Spaniard spent the 2022/23 campaign on loan at Championship side Preston North End, featuring in 42 games with Preston finishing 12th.
20-year-old Fernandez has been at Man United since 2020, moving to Old Trafford on a four-year deal after being part of Real Madrid's Academy from 2017.
