Arsenal have confirmed the signing of Spanish goalkeeper Kepa Arrizabalaga from Chelsea marking the club first addition of the 2025 summer transfer window.
The 30-year-old has joined the Gunners on a long-term deal after Arsenal activated the £5 million release clause in his contract.
Kepa will wear the number 13 shirt at Arsenal continuing the club tradition of welcoming top Spanish talent. He becomes the 17th Spaniard to play for the Gunners first team since Cesc Fabregas paved the way in 2003.
The former Chelsea shot-stopper is no stranger to English football having made his Premier League debut in 2018.
His arrival will reunite him with several familiar faces both from his time in west London and from the Spanish national team including compatriots David Raya and Mikel Merino who joined from Real Sociedad last year.
