According to Portuguese outlet A Bola Benfica are exploring the possibility of bringing Joao Felix back to the club.
The 25-year-old forward finds himself in a difficult position just one year after making a permanent switch to Chelsea. He is now deemed surplus to requirements at Stamford Bridge with his shirt number given to Dario Essugo and he also failed to convince AC Milan to sign him after a five-month loan spell.
As a result Benfica are reportedly considering offering Felix a chance to revive his career.
The club is said to be preparing a bid of around £26.5 million for their former academy star whom they sold to Atletico Madrid for £113 million five years ago.
