Chelsea have reached an agreement to sign Borussia Dortmund winger Jamie Gittens according to a report first broken by Fabrice Hawkins of RMC Sport and later confirmed by other sources.
The two clubs finalized the transfer terms after lengthy negotiations that began before the Club World Cup.
Gittens accepted a seven-year contract offer from Chelsea last week. Since then he has turned down interest from other top clubs including Bayern Munich.
Although Chelsea can register players for the Club World Cup group stage until July 3 Gittens will not be eligible to play as he has already featured in the competition with Borussia Dortmund.
