Manchester United are intensifying their pursuit of Atalanta goalkeeper Marco Carnesecchi according to Italian journalist Alfredo Pedullà.
The club is reportedly ready to submit a €40 million offer including possible add-ons in an attempt to meet Atalanta €50 million valuation of the player.
United view Carnesecchi as a long-term option in goal especially as current keeper André Onana continues to struggle. There is also growing speculation that Onana could be sold to a club in the Saudi Pro League.
However any move for Carnesecchi will likely depend on Onana being sold first.
Carnesecchi who turns 25 next week has made 88 appearances in Serie A and played nine times in the Champions League.
