Bayer Leverkusen continue negotiations over the potential transfer of Argentine attacking midfielder Nico Paz who was named the best young player in Italy Serie A last season.
Leverkusen remain in regular contact with representatives of the 20-year-old player considering him as a potential replacement for Florian Wirtz who is close to joining Liverpool.
Recall that Real Madrid from whom Paz transferred to Como retains a buy back option for the player at €8 million which they may activate this summer. At the same time Como would like to keep Nico in their squad going forward.
Nico Paz scored six goals and provided nine assists in 35 matches last season.
