Celta Vigo have officially confirmed the permanent signing of Ilaix Moriba from RB Leipzig on a contract running until 2029.
The 22-year-old midfielder joined Celta on loan in August 2024 and quickly established himself as a key player under coach Claudio Giraldez. His strong performances convinced the club to activate the €6m buy option before it expired on June 15.
Moriba agreed to a significant salary reduction to make the deal possible helping Celta overcome financial constraints. Sporting director Marco Garces expressed optimism about the signing highlighting Moriba potential and positive influence on the squad.
With the transfer now complete Moriba is expected to continue his development at Celta Vigo and play a major role in the club La Liga ambitions in the coming seasons.
