Benfica are putting pressure on Real Madrid to increase their financial offer to sign Alvaro Carreras Marca reports.
The Portuguese club have forced Carreras to travel with their squad to the United States for the Club World Cup despite negotiations with Real Madrid being advanced.
Real Madrid are unwilling to pay more than €50m for the Spanish fullback although a chunk of that fee will go to his former club Manchester United.
Carreras is expected to be Madrid final signing in defence after bringing in Dean Huijsen and Trent Alexander-Arnold.
