Germany national team coach Julian Nagelsmann has confirmed that Marc-André ter Stegen will be the starting goalkeeper for the team citing his good form in training.
Despite a challenging 2024-25 season marred by injury Ter Stegen has reportedly impressed Nagelsmann during his time with the national team.
The coach decision comes ahead of Germany Nations League semifinal match against Portugal.
Nagelsmann also addressed speculation surrounding Ter Stegen potential transfer stating that he hadn't discussed the matter with Barcelona coach Hansi Flick and wouldn be concerned about it even if he had.
Ter Stegen is in good form in training even though he hasn played much. I spoken with Hansi Flick but certainly not about Barcelona transfer plans. I read that he a potential sale candidate but that not my concern.
With the Nations League semifinal approaching Ter Stegen is set to take the goalkeeper position for Germany and the team will be looking to him to deliver a strong performance.
