Luis Diaz has emerged as a serious summer target for Barcelona with sources in Spain confirming the Catalan club are keen to sign a forward to bolster their attacking options. Diaz who has impressed this season under Liverpool boss Arne Slot with 17 goals and 5 assists is viewed by Barcelona as an ideal fit.
However the 28-year-old Colombian international still has two years left on his contract at Anfield and Liverpool are said to be relaxed about his situation. There is currently no indication from the club that they intend to sell Diaz despite the expected interest according to Daily Mail.
Barcelona sporting director Deco and president Joan Laporta maintain a strong relationship with figures close to Diaz. However with Lamine Yamal contract renewal looming a costly process in itself Barca are aware they must be financially sensible.
