Crystal Palace have secured their first-ever FA Cup title defeating Manchester City 1-0 in the final at Wembley.
The decisive moment came in the 16th minute when Eberechi Eze found the net with a composed finish giving Palace a lead they would not relinquish. Despite City efforts to respond including a missed penalty by striker Omar Marmoush Pep Guardiola side were unable to break through a resolute Palace defence.
Remarkably the result means Manchester City finish the season without a single trophy a rare occurrence in recent years under Guardiola tenure.
The victory marks a historic milestone for the South London club who lifted the FA Cup for the first time in their history. This is their first major trophy.
Crystal Palace will play against Liverpool in The FA Community Shield in August.
