The Frenchman now has 36 goals in official matches for the Madrid club. Earlier he surpassed Cristiano Ronaldo who scored 33 goals in his debut season.
Only Ivan Zamorano scored more in his first season for Real netting 37 goals in the 1992-93 campaign. Mbappe has now matched Fernando Sanudo tally from the 1934-35 season 36 goals.
