Fanatik reports that Galatasaray have made a formal move for Leroy Sane whose contract with Bayern Munich is set to expire at the end of the season. The 29-year-old German winger is yet to reach an agreement with the Bundesliga giants and the Istanbul club has entered the race to secure his signature.
Galatasaray President Dursun Ozbek recently named Sane as a potential target and Italian agent Gardi has officially presented a proposal. The offer to Sane is reportedly worth €7m per year and the Turkish side is awaiting his decision following his final meeting with Bayern Munich.
Sane is expected to make his decision after discussing terms with Bayern. If no agreement is reached negotiations between the player and Galatasaray are likely to begin.
This uncertainty has opened the door for Galatasaray as the club could potentially secure Sane on a free transfer if Bayern do not offer him a new deal in the coming weeks.
This season Sane has played 42 official matches for Bayern Munich contributing 12 goals and 5 assists.
