Xabi Alonso has set the wheels in motion for his departure from Bayer Leverkusen reportedly informing the club and his team that he will not continue as coach next season.
Although he didn't disclose his future destination speculation suggests he join Real Madrid with whom he believed to have a long-standing agreement.
The news follows Leverkusen CEO Fernando Carro public request for clarification on Alonso situation.

With a year left on his contract Leverkusen values Alonso departure between €15-20 million according to German sources while Spanish sources cite €8 million.
