Barcelona are still interested in signing Jonathan Tah on a free transfer according to Fichajes. The Bayer Leverkusen centre-back is out of contract this summer and has decided not to extend his deal.
Initial reports claimed sporting director Deco had already taken early steps to secure the German defender. Barcelona were said to be confident about the move before financial restrictions complicated talks.
Fichajes state that Barcelona still see Tah as a valuable target as he is a defender who fits the profile that Hansi Flick likes.
Tah has not yet agreed terms with any club but Barcelona will remain alert to the development of the situation and could make a move at the right time.
