El Nacional reports that Fermin Lopez is considering leaving Barcelona this summer if his situation doesn't change. Although he happy with the team success this season including the chance to win a third-ever treble he dissatisfied with his limited playing time.
Since Xavi Hernandez departure and the arrival of Hans-Dieter Flick his role has diminished especially with Dani Olmo signing which has further reduced his chances of starting. He only plays during rotations or in extreme situations and he lacks the consistency needed to reach his full potential.
Despite always stating that he feels at home at Camp Nou Fermin is now starting to think about his future. His main goal is to be called up for Luis de la Fuente Spain squad for the 2026 World Cup as he was for the European Championship but currently it hard to see him being selected. He needs more playing time and if Barcelona can't guarantee this he might start looking for a new club where he can become a key player.
