After Real Madrid tough defeat to Arsenal earlier this week all eyes are now on David Alaba as the team prepares for their La Liga clash against Deportivo Alaves.
The veteran defender who has been battling back to full fitness after over a year out due to an ACL injury was not part of the group training at Valdebebas today. Instead Alaba worked individually inside the facilities according to Melchor Ruiz.
Having returned to action in January 2025 Alaba has played 12 matches so far but his most recent appearance against Arsenal saw him struggle in an unfamiliar left-back role where he was unable to cope with Bukayo Saka threat. The absence from training has raised some concern about whether he dealing with additional physical issues or if it just a precautionary measure ahead of the weekend match.
