According to TZ Manuel Neuer will most likely miss the first leg of Bayern Munich Champions League quarter-final against Inter Milan on April 8. Internally neither Neuer nor the medical staff are giving a precise prognosis due to the complexity of his calf injury.
While there is hope that he may be fit enough for the return leg at San Siro on April 16 it remains uncertain whether he will recover in time.
Neuer injury adds to the mounting concerns for Bayern Munich as they approach a crucial period of the season with other key players such as Alphonso Davies and Dayot Upamecano also sidelined. In Neuer absence 21-year-old goalkeeper Jonas Urbig is expected to step in having shown promise during his limited appearances.
