Aston Villa will face Paris Saint-Germain in a dream UEFA Champions League quarter-final next month after completing a 6-1 aggregate victory over Club Brugge.
Marco Asensio who joined Villa on loan from PSG last month scored twice in the 3-0 win at Villa Park to seal the spot in the last eight following their 3-1 victory in the first leg.
This marks Villa first quarter-final appearance in Europe top competition since 1983. Asensio who has scored seven goals in Villa last five matches is eligible to play against PSG as Champions League rules differ from those in the Premier League.
Villa clash with PSG will be a tough test as PSG impressed in eliminating Liverpool winning 1-1 on aggregate and advancing on penalties.
