Real Madrid are reportedly planning to bolster their defense with the signing of at least one center-back next season.
According to transfer expert Fabrizio Romano the Spanish giants are keen to strengthen their backline which has been depleted in recent times.
The club current defensive woes have been exacerbated by the lack of recognised center-backs leaving them to face Manchester City in the Champions League playoffs with a makeshift defense.
In a bid to address this issue Real Madrid have been linked with a move for Arsenal William Saliba who has been impressive for the Gunners.
Meanwhile young defender Raul Asencio has been earning praise from the Real Madrid hierarchy for his performances attitude and work ethic.
The club is keen to retain Asencio services and is reportedly planning to renew his contract which currently includes a €50m release clause available to all clubs in the summer.
