Marcelo has officially announced his retirement from football at the age of 36. After an illustrious career.
The Brazilian full-back spent 16 seasons at Real Madrid where he won 25 titles including 5 Champions League trophies. Marcelo also returned to Fluminense where he helped them win the Copa Libertadores.
For Brazil he claimed a Confederations Cup and an Olympic medal cementing his legacy as one of the game greats. Despite being a full-back his attacking flair and style made him stand out as a winger in many of his memorable moments at the Bernabeu.
