Barcelona continue to target Marcus Rashford as the January transfer window nears its end. The 27-year-old Manchester United attacker is seen as a key reinforcement for their squad but any deal depends on freeing up salary space through player departures.
According to Mundo Deportivo Rashford has rejected a £600.000-a-week offer from a Saudi Arabian club aiming to stay in Europe and continue his international career with England. His priority remains a move to Barcelona.
However to make the deal happen Barcelona will need Rashford to lower his salary and for Manchester United to cover part of his wages. The Red Devils insist any club taking Rashford will need to pay his full wages adding complexity to the move.
With less than a week left in the transfer window it remains uncertain whether Barcelona can finalize the deal.
