Aston Villa have firmly rejected a second bid from West Ham United for star striker Jhon Duran with manager Unai Emery slapping a not for sale sign on the 21-year-old Colombian forward.
The Hammers £57m offer was deemed insufficient by Villa who value Duran highly after his impressive start to the season.
Duran has scored 12 goals in less than 1.000 minutes on the pitch including the winner against Bayern Munich and has emerged as a serious rival to Ollie Watkins as Villa lead striker.
His performances have attracted interest from several clubs but Villa are determined to keep him at Villa Park.
The rejection of West Ham bid comes ahead of the two teams Premier League clash on Sunday which is now expected to have an added edge.
Villa are also preparing to face Monaco in the Champions League tonight and there is a suspicion that the news of West Ham bid was leaked to destabilise the team ahead of this important fixture.
