Hoffenheim have completed the signing of Nigerian forward Gift Orban from Lyon in a deal worth up to €12m.
According to Fabrizio Romano the transfer fee is €9m plus €3m in add-ons with Orban signing a contract until June 2029.
Hoffenheim beat off competition from Ligue 1 side RC Lens to secure the services of the 21-year-old who joined Lyon from Belgian Pro League side KAA Gent in January 2023.
Orban time at Lyon was marked by inconsistency scoring just one goal in 13 league appearances in his first season.
However he showed glimpses of his potential scoring twice in three appearances in the Coupe de France.
This season he made a dramatic impact on his first appearance coming off the bench to score twice in nine minutes and secure a comeback win for Lyon against Strasbourg.
