Liverpool have reportedly rejected a bid from Real Madrid for star right-back Trent Alexander-Arnold.
The Spanish giants had been hoping to lure Alexander-Arnold to the Bernabeu in January but Liverpool have swiftly rebuffed their advances.
Alexander-Arnold who is in the final year of his Liverpool contract has been in scintillating form for the Reds this season contributing six goals in 23 appearances.
His potential departure would be a massive blow to Liverpool title ambitions and the club will be eager to persuade him to sign a new deal.
While Real Madrid initial bid has been rejected the Spanish giants are likely to return with another offer potentially on a free transfer when Alexander-Arnold contract expires.
