Sources close to Liverpool have denied that an agreement has been reached with Real Madrid over the transfer of Trent Alexander-Arnold.
Despite growing speculation that the Spanish giants are confident of signing the England international on a free transfer next summer insiders insist that no deal has been struck.
This contradicts reports in the Spanish media which have suggested that Alexander-Arnold is set to join Real Madrid.
Marca a newspaper closely associated with the club ran a front-page headline declaring Alexander-Arnold Quiere Venir Al Madrid Wants to sign for Madrid fuelling rumours about the player future.
However sources suggest that Alexander-Arnold future remains uncertain and that Liverpool will continue to try to tie him down to a new deal.
The Reds are also working to resolve the contract situations of captain Virgil van Dijk and star man Mohamed Salah.
