Barcelona have breathed a collective sigh of relief after securing a €100m deal that will allow the club to register Dani Olmo and Pau Victor according to Marca Luis Rojo.
The agreement brokered by club president Joan Laporta ensures that Olmo will not leave the club as a free agent just six months after joining from RB Leipzig in a €55m transfer.
The deal comes after a court rejected Barcelona lawsuit seeking to extend Olmo registration beyond the end of the year.
With the deadline for registration looming and the prospect of losing Olmo becoming increasingly real Laporta exercised a sale option on Saturday that will see the first payment made before December 31.
The agreement not only secures Olmo registration but also marks a significant milestone for Barcelona as the club will finally return to the 1:1 Financial Fair Play FFP rule.
