Real Madrid have completed the signing of young defender Lamini Fati from Leganes. The club secured the player for €120.000 with performance-based add-ons included. Fati has passed his medical and signed a five-year deal according to Marca.
Born in Madrid to an Angolan mother and a Guinean father the 18-year-old stands at 1.80 metres tall.
Despite recently undergoing jaw surgery the transfer was finalised quickly. Real Madrid avoided activating his release clause due to strong relations with Leganes.
Fati will begin at Real Madrid C but could move to the youth team depending on his performance. He has already trained with Leganes first team under Borja Jimenez this season while playing in the Third Federation.
