Real Madrid are reportedly looking to accelerate their pursuit of Trent Alexander-Arnold. The Liverpool right-back contract expires at the end of the season but Real Madrid are eager to secure him earlier.
Liverpool may be willing to sell the 26-year-old in January for around €30 million. However the club are reluctant to weaken their squad mid-season. Sources suggest that they will resist any attempts to sell him unless a substantial offer is made.
Real Madrid are confident they can land Alexander-Arnold whether in January or the summer. The club have been keen to strengthen their defence and see the Englishman as a key addition.
Alexander-Arnold could be a significant upgrade over Lucas Vazquez who has been filling in for the injured Dani Carvajal. Real Madrid are hopeful of finalising a deal soon.
