Barcelona have withdrawn the offer they made to Frenkie De Jong at the end of last year Mundo Deportivo say.
Barca withdrew their offer after De Jong refused to accept or respond to it for many months.
Hence the offer is no longer on the table although Barcelona continues to evaluate De Jong situation as they aren't willing to lose him yet.
Sources say De Jong plans to leave the club for free in 2026 when his current deal expires. If that happens the Dutchman will receive a hefty settlement from Barca and the entire sign-on bonus he will get at a new club.
De Jong 27 has not impressed since returning from injury. He played 9 games so far starting just twice.
