After a period of silence former Cambodian national team striker Chan Vathanaka finally returned to the starting 11 and scored his first goal after months of injury problems helping Boeung Ket defeat Kirivong Sok Senchey 2-1 in the 2024-25 Cambodian Premier League Championship Qualifiers Week 13.
Of course after months of injury problems this is Chan Vathanaka first goal in the Cambodian Premier League this season while in the past 12 games he has not appeared consistently and has not been in the starting 11 mostly sitting on the bench.
Appearing in the starting 11 against Kirivong Sok Senchey last night the player nicknamed CV11 was seen to finish as clearly as before so fans hope that Vathanaka will try to train well to compete for the starting 11 position again in the following games.
After defeating Kirivong Sok Sen Chey Boeung Ket has 17 points ranking 6th in the standings for week 13 with 11 games 5 wins 2 draws and 4 losses totaling 17 points.
As of week 13 Phnom Penh Crown is still at the top of the table with 34 points and a goal difference of 34 goals. Visakha is in second place with 26 points and a goal difference of 21 goals. Preah Khan Reach Svay Rieng is in third place with 22 points and a goal difference of 24 goals.
