Florentino Perez argued during his speech at Real Madrid Annual General Assembly that Los Blancos have the best football Academy in world football.
Our Academy is an essential part of understanding the history and identity of this club because it is here where our young people are educated and grow in the values of Real Madrid Perez said.
The data clearly demonstrates that this is the best Academy in the world.
Currently 191 footballers who have trained at Real Madrid City Academy play in professional leagues.
51 do it in teams from the First Division of Spanish football 84 in the international Leagues and 56 in our Second Division Perez said.
The numbers support Perez argument but the problem is that most Real Madrid Academy graduates don't succeed at the club. One can only name players like Dani Carvajal with Fran Garcia and Fede Valverde as rare exceptions.
