Jonathan Tah has become one of the most in-demand defenders ahead of his contract expiry in 2025. The Bayer Leverkusen player will be available as a free agent attracting interest from several top European clubs with Barcelona among the frontrunners.

According to reports from El Chiringuito Barcelona are in advanced talks to secure Tah signature next summer. The Catalan club have long been interested in the German international and it now seems they are close to completing the deal.

Barcelona have fended off competition from Real Madrid who were reportedly considering a January move for the centre-back. Sources suggest Tah is keen on joining Barcelona seeing it as a major step in his career.

It is believed that Tah will not make any final decision on his future until after the new year. So while the situation looks promising a clearer picture may only emerge in early 2025.
