After enduring a setback in his recovery from the ACL injury he suffered last year David Alaba is now back training on the grass in Valdebebas.
Pictures shared by Real Madrid show Alaba in high spirit as he worked on his fitness.
Alaba recovery has taken longer than was expected with the defender now sidelined for a year.
The Austrian return to the training pitch is a welcome sight and a breath of fresh air for Madrid who recently lost Eser Militao to a similar injury last weekend.
However it is unlikely that Alaba will make an appearance for Real Madrid until January 2025. His recovery may well determine if Real Madrid enters the market for a new centre-back.
