Barcelona are reportedly preparing to ramp up their efforts to sign Alphonso Davies following an urgent request from manager Hansi Flick. The Canadian full-back has been a target for Barcelona with Flick keen to strengthen the team defence.
Flick who has worked with Davies previously sees the 24-year-old as a key player to address the defensive problems Barcelona have faced in recent seasons. His experience with Davies has led him to push for the signing.
Despite ongoing financial struggles Barcelona are determined to bring Davies in when his contract with Bayern Munich expires.
Real Madrid are also interested in Davies. The Spanish giants are in the race to sign him and appear to be the front-runners to land the player. However Barcelona remain hopeful they can win the battle for the talented left-back.
