Barcelona are reportedly considering Liverpool Mohamed Salah as a potential addition to their squad. Salah current contract with Liverpool expires at the end of the season. While Liverpool are keen to keep him there is interest from Saudi Arabia. Barcelona appear determined to monitor his situation closely.
Salah has previously attracted interest from Barcelona. Former manager Xavi saw him as a player who could make a significant impact. When Barcelona looked into signing him Salah was negotiating a contract extension with Liverpool. They hesitated due to his high salary reportedly around €15 million per season.
Now with Salah contract nearing its end he could be more open to a move. Barcelona have prioritised strengthening their wings for the upcoming transfer window. Although Nico Williams is the main target Salah remains a strong alternative.
It remains to be seen how Salah will shape his future and whether Barcelona can secure his signing.
