Arsenal Bukayo Saka has been denied a record-breaking third consecutive England Men Player of the Year award with Chelsea Cole Palmer taking the honour for the 2023-24 season.
Saka who had a phenomenal campaign with 20 goals and 14 assists in all competitions was aiming to become the first player in English football history to win the award three times in a row.
However Palmer explosive debut season at Chelsea where he scored 22 goals in 34 Premier League appearances edged Saka out of the running.
Palmer impressive performance also earned him a spot in England Euro 2024 squad and a goal in the final against Spain.
Saka joins an illustrious group of players who have won the award twice including Frank Lampard with Wayne Rooney and Harry Kane.
Despite falling short of history Saka consistent excellence has cemented his status as one of England top talents.
