The Premier League has denied Bukayo Saka assist record following a change in the ruling of Leandro Trossard goal against Leicester City. Arsenal defeated Leicester 4-2 but the controversy came after the match ended.
Trossard stoppage-time goal was originally credited to him giving Saka his sixth assist in six matches. However upon review it has now been changed to a Wilfred Ndidi own goal.
As a result Saka no longer holds the record of being the first player to assist in the first six Premier League games of a season.
This decision has left many Arsenal fans disappointed as Saka early-season form has been a highlight for the team.
