Former Juventus midfielder Miralem Pjanic has marked his return to Europe by joining CSKA Moscow as a free agent.
He has signed a one-year contract with the Russian side with an option to extend it until 2026.
In an official statement CSKA Moscow stated official Miralem Pjanic is a player of PFC CSKA! The four-time Italian champion added to the army signing a 1-year contract with an option for a second. Miralem will play for our team under the number 15.
Incidentally this happens two years after Pjanic had refused to play for Bosnia & Herzegovina against Russia in a competitive game following their invasion of Ukraine.
Pjanic returns to Europe after having spent the last two years at UAE club Sharjah FC for whom 61 appearances and provided 16 assists.
CSKA also confirmed this transfer with a rather strange unveiling video to celebrate he experience midfielder arrival.
